Slowly Getting Back
I’ve been avoiding — ignoring is more like it — training, diet and any sort of rigor to the health part of my lifestyle.
I’m running tomorrow with a friend — Paddy — who just posted a 33 minute 5 mile Turkey Trot. Needless to say, that is a bit faster than anyone has ever seen me run. Ever.
On Monday, I’m starting a new indoor cycling program. If you need me, I’ll be in the basement for 45 minutes sweating next to the clothes dryer.
By January 1, I want to be consistently at 188 pounds and ready to kick off the new year, the first week of a 30 week training plan and a great season.
I’m only about 2,000-3,000 yards short of doubling my swim totals from 2011, so here and now I’m committing to at least four more pool workouts before the end of the year.
