Cockeyed

Today it was 40 degrees with 20-25 mph winds. I wore new bib tights — lined with fleece — but still did not have a grand adventure. It was more like a study in resistance. Me against the road. The wind against me.

Plenty of guffaws on the homefront, but these guys keep my guys plenty warm.

Somewhere along the way I became convinced that my handlebars and aerobars were not on straight. Then I thought maybe it was just an optical illusion because I kept cantering sideways into he wind by 10 degrees to stay upright. This, and this alone, the fit of my headset became all I could think about.

Probably for the best, because other than my legs, everything else was frozen for 65 miles.
